The book of Job declared "The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away, blessed be the name of the Lord." It is with genuine sadness that SJFC announces the earthly departure of Mrs. Alberta Burnette. "Mrs. Shirley," as she was affectionately called by her loving family and friends, moved into her Heavenly home on August 22, 2024, while resting at the Northampton Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Commencing on Friday, August 30, 2024, between the hours of 5 pm - 7 pm, Mrs. Shirley's earthen vessel will lie in repose, for a time of visitation, in the chapel of the S. Jones Funerals and Cremations with the family present to acknowledge friends and loved ones.

A Celebration of her Life and Legacy will be held 11 am, Saturday, August 31, 2024 in the chapel of the S. Jones Funerals and Cremations.

Committal Rites will take place at the graveside of the Elmwood Cemetery.
