Alphonso McKnight

We would like to take a moment to express our heartfelt condolences as we share the news that Mr. Alphonso McKnight, a beloved former resident of Rocky Mount, NC, transitioned into eternal rest. Mr. McKnight departed this life on July 7, 2025, while residing in Baltimore, MD. His contributions and presence will be deeply missed by all who were privileged to know him.

Services to honor the life of Mr. McKnight, reflecting on “The Dash” from his birth until his entrance into eternal rest, have been finalized by his beloved family. Mr. McKnight will lie in state at the altar of Marks Chapel Baptist Church from 10 AM to 11 AM on Monday, July 28, 2025, for those wishing to pay their respects during the public viewing. An Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. memorial service will begin at 10:30 AM. A service to celebrate Alphonso’s life and legacy will follow at 11 AM.

Following the Celebration of Life in the sanctuary, Mr. McKnight earthen vessel, along with his adored family, will be escorted to the Marks Chapel Church Cemetery for Committal Rites.
