Amos "Shack" Edmondson Sr.

A poet put pen to paper, A golden heart has stopped beating, Hardworking hands have found their rest. God broke our hearts to show us He only takes the best.On March 30, 2026, God gently entered ECU Health Edgecombe Hospital, where He lovingly summoned Mr. Amos Edmondson Sr., affectionately known to many as "Shack." He invited Shack to lay down his trusted auto mechanic tools and set aside his cherished grilling utensils, leading him to embrace a life filled with everlasting tranquility and peace.

Services to honor the legacy and contributions of "Shack" have been finalized and will proceed as follows: The family will be present from 5 PM to 7 PM on Friday, April 3, 2026, in the sanctuary of the Greater New Testament Holy Church, located at 9201 County Line Rd, Sharpsburg, NC. During this time, you are invited to embrace the family and share memories of the good old times.

A Celebration of Life will take place at 12 PM on April 4, 2026, also in the sanctuary of the Greater New Testament Holy Church.

Interment will be in the Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
