A Psalmist once penned the comforting words, “Whatever my lot, Thou hast taught me to say, It is well, it is well, with my soul.” With hearts made heavy by sorrow yet strengthened by faith, S. Jones F. and C. embraces the Cutler and Barnes family as they announce the earthly departure of Mrs. Barbara Jean Cutler Barnes. On May 6, 2026, surrounded by the comfort of home, Mrs. Barnes peacefully answered the Master’s Call and entered eternal rest, leaving her loved ones with the blessed assurance that indeed, it is well with her soul.

A Homegoing Celebration honoring her life, legacy, and cherished memories will convene at 12:00 PM on Sunday, May 31, 2026, in the sanctuary of the House of Resurrection Church, Whitakers, NC. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a public viewing, which will be held one hour prior to the service, beginning at 11:00 AM, as she rests in peaceful repose.

Interment will take place in the HOR Pleasant Gardens.
