With a multitude of compassion and concern, S. Jones F. and C. announces the earthly departure of Mrs. Betty Ruth Phillips Battle. Mrs. Battle pulled the drapes on this journey called life on Monday, June 06, 2022 at the Vidant Edgecombe Medical Center.
On Friday, June 10, 2022 between the hours of 5pm and 7pm, Mrs. Betty will lie in peaceful repose in the sanctuary of the Greater New Testament Holy Church, Sharpsburg, NC. During those moments, the family will be present to greet friends and loved ones as they come to pay their respects.
A Service of Love and Comfort will be held 2 pm, Saturday, June 11, 2022 in the sanctuary of the Greater New Testament Holy Church.
Interment will be held in the Marks Chapel Church Cemetery.
Among her survivors are her children: Apostle Bernice Smith (Milton), Richard Battle (Barbara), Cheri Battle (Ricky), Elbert Battle Jr. and Douglas Battle; a host of loving grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
