Jones F. and C. announce the passing of Deacon Curtis Lee Phillips, lovingly known as "Swamp Fox." He has now embarked on his final journey aboard the Gospel Train, heading towards eternal Glory. Deacon Phillips transitioned from this world on January 12, 2026, surrounded by the warmth and comfort of his home.
Moments have been etched in time for family and friends to pay homage to Deacon Phillips, during a visitation that will be held from 5 pm to 7 pm, Saturday, January 17, 2026, in the chapel of the S. Jones Funerals and Cremations with an Inspirational Wake commencing at 6 pm. During this time, family and friends can embrace each other while reminiscing on the good old times shared with "Swamp Fox".
A heartfelt Homegoing Celebration will be held 2:30 PM on Sunday, January 18, 2026. This meaningful service will take place in the sanctuary of Pittman Grove Baptist Church, a place where he dedicated his life to serving God and others with unwavering faith.
He will be laid to rest in the Gardens of Gethsemane, Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at 12:30 pm.
