Deacon Therman Hunter Obituary
A charge to keep I have, a God to glorify,
a never-dying soul to save, and fit it for the sky.
The time has come for a heartfelt announcement: as of November 19, 2025, Deacon Therman Hunter has taken up residence at 777 Highway 7 in the city called Heaven. During his stay at the Nash UNC Medical Center, Deacon Hunter made his way to the ticket office, where he was met by the train conductor, Jesus Christ, who graciously issued him a boarding pass for the Gospel Train, destined for Glory. With joy in his heart, he's singing, "It's Alright, It's Alright! As long as I have a seat in God's Kingdom, everything is truly alright!"
Services to Honor his Life as a Psalmist and a Servant, in the Lord's House and Community, will begin with a visitation, 5 pm - 7 pm, Saturday, November 22, 2025, in the chapel of the S. Jones Funerals and Cremations, with the family present to acknowledge friends and loved ones.
A Home Going Celebration honoring his life and legacy will take place at 1:00 PM on Sunday, November 23, 2025, in the sanctuary of Righteous Grove Missionary Baptist Church, where he served with dedication and commitment.
Mr. Hunter and his loving family will be escorted to the Resthaven Memorial Gardens for Committal Rites.
