When we all see Jesus, we will sing and shout the victory.” This perfectly captures what Deaconess Gloria Ann Davis Lyons has been doing since she crossed the swelling tide on July 25, 2025, at the UNC Nash Medical Center.

Events have been organized by her beloved family to commemorate the impact she made during her life. A public viewing will take place on Thursday, July 31, 2025, from 12 PM to 1 PM, as she lies in state at the altar of the Righteous Grove Baptist Church, where she served faithfully until her passing. Following the viewing, a Home Going Celebration will begin at 1 PM.
