Demont "Bird" Dancy Obituary

Boys II Men expressed a heartfelt truth when they sang, "It's So Hard To Say Goodbye To Yesterday." Today, S. Jones F. and C. come together with the Dancy  and Ewell family to honor and say "Farewell" to their beloved Demont Trandale Dancy lovingly known as "Bird." He touched countless lives with his presence, kindness, and spirit. On April 30, 2026, he departed this earthly life, surrounded by the comfort of his home and the love of those who cherished him.

Services to honor his life will commence with a public viewing from 12 PM to 1 PM on Friday, May 8, 2026, as he lies in state at the altar of Mildred Chapel Baptist Church in Tarboro, NC. Immediately following the viewing, a heartfelt Celebration of Life, will start at 1 PM.

Committal Rites will take place at the graveside of the Community Cemetery, Princeville, NC.

* The family is respectfully welcoming friends and loved ones at the residence of his sister, located at 424 Sawmill Rd, Rocky Mount, NC 27801.*
