Obituary
The moment has come when S. Jones F. and C. must pause and inform all that Mrs. Elizabeth Hendricks Davis affectionately called "Miss Piggy", no longer resides on this side of the Jordan river. On Sunday, August 13, 2023, that Glorious ship of Zion, left the dock at Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC with Mrs. Davis (a native of Halifax County, NC) on board, bound for Paradise.
Services reflecting Mrs. Davis journey while on earth will begin with a visitation Friday, August 18, 2023 between the hours of 5 pm and 7 pm, as "Miss Piggy" rests in a tranquil state, for those who wish to pay their respect to her.in the chapel of the S. Jones Funerals and Cremations.
A Home Going Celebration will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at 2 pm in the sanctuary of the Tillery Chapel Baptist Church in Tillery, NC.
Following the celebratory events, Mrs. Davis earthen vessel along with her cherished family, will be escorted to the Davis Family Cemetery for Committal Rites.
Among her survivors are her devoted daughters: Rozetta Watson, Pamela Davis, Makisha Lewis (Bobby) and Shonda Davis-Shaw (Corey); her loving siblings: Linda Grimes, Christine Hendricks Rich, Leslie B. Hendricks (Flavieene), Floyd Hendricks (Leo), Elvelyn Reynolds (Charlie), Carlos Hendricks and William Battle (Lorna); a host of grand grandchildren, other relatives and loving friends.
