Esther Hilliard Cherry Obituary

The book of Job declared " the Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away, blessed be the name of the Lord." It is with genuine sadness that S. Jones F. and C. announces the earthly departure of Mrs. Esther Mae Hilliard Cherry. Mrs. Cherry moved into her Heavenly home on October 24, 2023 at the UNC Nash Medical Center.

The family will be present 6 pm - 8 pm, Friday, November 03, 2023 to acknowledge friends and loved ones during a visitation that will be held in the chapel of the S. Jones Funerals and Cremations.

A Celebration of Mrs. Cherry's Life and Legacy will be held 2 pm, Saturday, November 04, 2023 in the chapel of the S. Jones Funerals and Cremations.

Mrs. Cherry and her loving family will be escorted to the Bunn Cemetery for Committal Rites.

Among her survivors are her daughters, Cynthia Diana Cherry and Elberta Cherry-Strickland (Ricky Jr.); sisters: Geraldine Green, Joyce Hilliard and Josie Green; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
