It is with profound sorrow that S. Jones F. and C. join the Whitaker family in announcing the heartfelt passing of Frankie L. Whitaker. On August 26, 2025, Mr. Whitaker gracefully departed from this world, enveloped in the serene comfort of his beloved home, leaving behind a legacy that will forever resonate in the hearts of those who cherished him.

Mr. Whitaker had an extensive background as a former educator and assistant principal within the Halifax County School System, where he significantly contributed to the academic development of students. Additionally, he served honorably in the United States Army and is currently enjoying his retirement. His dedication to both education and military service reflects a strong commitment to community and leadership.

A heartfelt service to celebrate his enduring legacy will take place at 2 PM on Friday, September 5, 2025. The gathering will be held within the warm and inviting sanctuary of the First Baptist Church, nestled in the township of Enfield, North Carolina.

Committal Rites with full military honors will be held at the graveside of the Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.
