The book of Job declared, "The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away, blessed be the name of the Lord." It is with genuine sadness that SJFC announces the earthly departure of Mr. Gene Buffaloe. "Joe", as he was affectionately called by his devoted family and many friends, cast his last fishing net and a made a heavenly touchdown on July 06, 2024 while resting peacefully at the Scotland Manor.

Services have been finalized and will proceed as followed. A time of visitation will be held 5 pm - 8 pm, Friday, July 12, 2024 in the chapel of the S. Jones Funerals and Cremations. During this time, you can embrace the family and reminisce on the good ole times shared with Joe.

A Home Going Celebration will be held 1 pm, Saturday, July 13, 2024 in the sanctuary of the Royal Light Holiness Church of Deliverance, 6372 NC-561, Halifax, NC 27887 (Tillery Community).

Mr. Buffaloe and his loving family will be escorted to the Elmwood Cemetery for Committal Rites.
