It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Harriett “Hike” Smith.

On Sunday, June 22, 2025, our beloved mother, sister, aunt, and friend Harriett Smith passed away peacefully, surrounded by love. Born on July 9, 1959, Harriett—affectionately known as “Hike”—was a bold spirit who lived life on her own terms.

She was a woman of strength, honesty, and a deep love for her family. If you knew her, you would remember her laugh, her presence, and the unforgettable energy she brought into every room. Whether she was fishing by the lake or telling a joke that had everyone in tears, Hike was truly one of a kind.

We will celebrate and honor her life with close family and friends on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at S. Jones Funerals & Cremations, 115 South Dennis Street, Enfield, NC.
