\With a multitude of compassion and concern, S. Jones F. and C. announce the earthly departure of Mr. Herbert Lamont Cherry. Mr. Cherry exited out of life's back doors into a life of everlasting peace on October 27, 2025, at the ECU Edgecombe Medical Center. 

Services to commemorate his life will commence with a public viewing scheduled from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 8, 2025, in the sanctuary of the Holy Temple Holy Church, located in Tarboro, North Carolina. Following the public viewing, a Celebration of Life will be conducted, commencing at 2:00 PM.
