The book of Job declared, "The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away, blessed be the name of the Lord." It is with genuine sadness that the SJFC announces the earthly departure of Ms. Jamece Watson Petteway. Ms. Petteway received her angelic wings on October 11, 2024 at the Durham VA Hospital.

Commencing on Friday, October 18, 2024 between the hour of 11 am  and 12 pm, Ms. Petteway's earthen vessel will lie in sweet repose for a time of visitation and reflection at the altar of the St. James Missionary Baptist Church. Following the public visitation, a Celebration of Life will be called to order at 12 noon.

Ms. Petteway and her loving family will be escorted to the Pineview Cemetery for Committal Rites and Military Honors.
