There’s a land beyond the river,
That we call the sweet forever,
And we only reach that shore by faith’s decree;
One by one we’ll gain the portals,
There to dwell with the immortals,
When they ring the golden bells for you and me.
It is with profound sadness that S. Jones F. and C. stand beside the Chavis family as they share the heartfelt news of Mr. James Allen Chavis's passing, lovingly known as "Bo-Jack." On April 22, 2026, he answered the call of the golden bells, peacefully transitioning to his heavenly home in the comfort of his house, surrounded by the unwavering love of his devoted wife, son, and family.
Services to commemorate "Bo-Jack's" life and legacy of love will commence with a public viewing. The viewing is scheduled for 5 PM to 7 PM on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, in the chapel of S. Jones Funerals and Cremations.
A Celebration of Life will be held 1 pm, Wednesday, April 29, 2026 in the chapel of the S. Jones Funerals and Cremations.
He will be laid to rest in the White Oak Baptist Church Cemetery.
