Jocquez "Hucklebuck" Davis

 Boots on the ground in the sky, Boots on the ground and fans up 

Everybody loved "Dj Hucklebuck"

He kept the crowd rocking, the steppers stepping, and everybody vibing, having the time of their life 

When Hucklebuck let the beat drop, he did it just right 

His presence will be missed at the trail rides

So we hold our fans up high 

'Cause we know he’s in Heaven putting boots on the ground in the sky.

With many mixed emotions and understandable broken hearts, SJFC joins with the family of Mr. Jocquez Quantye Davis as they prepare to say “Until We Meet Again."  "Hucklebuck", as he was affectionately called, transitioned from this life on January 23, 2025 at Duke University Hospital, Durham, NC.

The heartbreaking task of planning the Life Remembering Services for "Hucklebuck" will commence on Friday, January 31, 2025 from 5 pm until 7 pm, with a Trail Ride Style visitation in the chapel of the S. Jones Funerals and Cremations. During those moments, family and friends can embrace each other, while reminiscing on the good times that was shared with Hucklebuck.

A Celebration of Life will be held 1 pm, Saturday, February 01, 2025 in the sanctuary of the Red Budd Holy Church, Rocky Mount, NC.

Mr. Davis' earthen remains will be laid to rest in the Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.
