The comforting words of the beloved hymn, "Precious Lord, Take My Hand"—"Lead me on, let me stand"—reflect the heartfelt prayer of the family of Lakeida Nicole Douglas as they ask God to guide and strengthen them during this time of sorrow and the passing of their beloved. Miss Douglas transitioned into eternal rest on Monday, July 13, 2026, at Nash UNC Health Care.

Family and friends are invited to attend a public viewing on Friday, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m., in the sanctuary of Greater New Testament Holy Church located in Sharpsburg, NC. Immediately following the visitation, a Celebration of Life Service will be called to order at 1:00 p.m.

Following the service, Miss Douglas will be laid to rest in Stoney Creek Historic Cemetery.
