The book of Job declared, "The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away, blessed be the name of the Lord." With many having mixed emotions and understandably broken hearts, SJFC has been given the solemn duty to announce the earthly departure of Mrs. Laura Alberta Davis Arrington. Mrs. Arrington peacefully transitioned into her Heavenly home on June 05, 2024, while resting in the comfort of her daughter's home, surrounded by her devoted and loving family.

The heart breaking task of planning the Life Remembering Service for this precious jewel has been finalized and will proceed thusly. Commencing on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, a private Omega Omega Service will be held, 5 pm - 6 pm, in the chapel of the S. Jones Funerals and Cremations. Following the Omega Omega Service, a public viewing will be held, 6 pm - 7 pm, where the family will be present to acknowledge the many friends and loved ones, as they pay homage to a life well lived.

A Celebration of Life will be held 2 pm, Wednesday, June 12, 2024, in the sanctuary of the Greater Saints Baptist Church. as they bid "Farewell" to the queen of the Arrington Family.

Interment will be private in the Troy and Laura Arrington's Family Cemetery.
