It is with tears of sorrow that S. Jones Funerals and Cremations joins the Alston and Taylor families as they lovingly say, "I Remember Mama in a Special Way." The family circle was forever changed when Mrs. Lillie Mae Taylor Alston, affectionately known as "Muff" to her devoted family and many dear friends, exchanged her seat upon the front porch for a seat in God's eternal Kingdom on June 20, 2026, at Nash UNC Health Care.

Services of Remembrance for Mrs. Alston will begin with a visitation from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2026, in the chapel of S. Jones Funerals and Cremations. During this time, the family will be present to receive friends and loved ones as they share memories and celebrate the life and legacy of "Muff."

A Farewell to Mama will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 28, 2026, in the sanctuary of St. Paul Baptist Church.

Following the service, Mrs. Alston will be lovingly escorted by her family and friends to Rest Haven Memorial Gardens, where Committal Rites will be rendered and her earthly journey brought to a peaceful close.
