As heaven eagerly anticipates the arrival of another beautiful songbird, those she left behind are enveloped in a mix of emotions and heavy hearts. Margaret Ann Basemore, lovingly referred to as "Mark," transitioned from her earthly choir robe to a celestial one on September 28, 2025, finding peace in the comfort of her own home.

The services commemorating the life and legacy of Miss Basemore will begin with a visitation on October 10, 2025, from 5 PM to 7 PM. She will lie in state at the altar of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Tarboro, North Carolina. During this time, the family will be present to greet friends and loved ones, providing an opportunity for attendees to reflect on and celebrate the life of "Mark."

A Service of Tribute to a life beautifully lived and the profound influence of her contributions will be held at 11 am, Saturday, October 11, 2025, in the sanctuary of the Red Hill Baptist Church, Whitakers, NC.

Miss Basemore earthly remains will be laid to rest in the Eastlawn Memorial Cemetery.
