Mary "Red" Parker

"When I have gone the last mile of the way, I shall rest at the close of the day, and I know there are joys that await me when I have gone the last mile of the way."

With these comforting words in mind, the family of Mary Ann Parker announces that on July 15, 2026, she traveled her last mile on this side of the Jordan River while residing in Washington, DC. Having completed her earthly journey, she now rests peacefully among the Angelic Host.

Local services for Miss Parker will begin with a visitation from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August 01, 2026, in the sanctuary of Red Hill Baptist Church. Immediately following the visitation, a Celebration of Life service will begin at 1:00 p.m.

Following the service, Miss Parker will be laid to rest in the Red Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
