With loving arms of compassion, S. Jones F. and C. is consoling the heartbroken loved ones of Mr. Michael Earl Sledge, as they prepare to take a journey that no family wishes to take. Mr. Sledge drove the "Last Mile" of the way on January 21, 2026 when he transitioned into eternal rest at the Duke University Hospital.

In light of the forecasted inclement weather, the arrangements for Mr. Sledge's service have been modified. A public viewing is scheduled to occur from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, in the chapel of S. Jones Funerals and Cremations.

A Service of Remembrance will be held 1:30 pm, Tuesday, February 03, 2026 in the chapel of the S. Jones Funerals and Cremations.
