Mother Mary Parker Pittman

Submitting to the predestined will of God, S. Jones Funerals and Cremations are consoling the remaining loved ones of Mother Mary Parker Pittman as they attempt to cope with this great loss. The Pittman's family circle was forever changed Monday morning, August 15, 2022, when Mrs. Mary quietly went to sleep in the bosom of Jesus Christ, while resting in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving family.

The services that will honor this Matriarch have been orchestrated by her devoted family and will begin on Saturday, August 20, 2022, between the hours of 5pm and 7pm with a public "Walk Through Viewing" in the Reposing Room of the S. Jones Funerals and Cremations.

A Celebration of Life and Legacy, remembering this precious jewel, will begin at 2 pm on Sunday, August 21, 2022 in the sanctuary of the St. Matthew Baptist Church (Dunbar Community).

Immediately following the farewell celebration, Mother Pittman's physical vessel and her cherished family will be escorted to Greater St. Mark Church Cemetery for Committal Rites.

Among her survivors are her children: Mary Pittman, Rosa P. Davis, Butler Pittman Jr., Ellen Pittman, Hazel Pittman Lucas, Carrie P. Harrell, Carolyn P. Brown, Larry Pittman and host of other loving family and friends.
