Robert "Buck" Gibbs

Boys II Men expressed it beautifully in their song, "It's So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday." It is with profound sadness that we announce the Gibbs family is saying goodbye to their beloved Robert Aaron Gibbs, affectionately known as "Buck." He hung up his chef apron and carefully put away his cooking utensils as he transitioned into a life of everlasting peace on March 31, 2026, at Nash UNC Medical Center.

A public viewing will take place from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 11, 2026, as he lies in state at the altar of the Light of Peace Baptist Church. This will be a heartfelt moment for all to pay their respects. Following the viewing, we invite you to a Celebration of Life at 1:00 PM, where we will share memories and celebrate the legacy he leaves behind.
