It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Mr. Roderick Lewis Barnes. He is no longer burdened by the cares of this world and is now resting in eternal peace. Mr. Barnes departed this life on June 26, 2025, at the Nash UNC Medical Center.
Services to honor his life will begin with a visitation from 5 PM to 7 PM on Thursday, July 10, 2025, in the sanctuary of the Greater New Testament Holy Church in Sharpsburg, NC.
A Service of Comfort will be held 11 am, Friday, July 11, 2025 in the sanctuary of the Greater New Testament Holy Church.
Interment with military honors will be held 2 pm at the Eastern Carolina Veterans State Cemetery, Goldsboro, NC.
