With solemn thoughts and tender hearts of love, SJFC serves notice that Mr. Roger Lewis, known to many as "Sweet Daddy" and to some as "Buck Wheat", transitioned into eternal rest on January 23, 2025 at the ECU Medical Center, Greenville, NC.
The services honoring "Sweet Daddy's" Life and Legacy will begin with visitation on Friday, January 31, 2025 from 5:00 pm -7:00 pm in the chapel of the Avent's Chapel - 177 Watson St. Enfield, NC, where family and friends are invited to gather & reflect on fond memories, as they prepare to say their final goodbye.
On Saturday, February 01, 2025 at 2 pm, a Celebration of His Life will take place in the sanctuary of the Tillery Chapel Baptist Church, Tillery, NC.
Mr. Lewis and his devoted family will be escorted to the Lewis Family Cemetery for Committal Rites.
