It is with profound sorrow that S. Jones Funerals and Cremations announces the earthly departure of Mrs. Sandra Denise Whitaker Lancaster. Lovingly known as "Niecy," she peacefully answered the Master's call on June 5, 2026, departing this life to receive her heavenly reward and exchanging the burdens of time for the boundless joys of eternity at Wake Medical Center.

Services celebrating the Life and Legacy of Mrs. Lancaster will begin with a visitation from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 12, 2026, in the chapel of S. Jones Funerals and Cremations. During this time, family and friends are invited to gather, share cherished memories, and reflect upon the beautiful life she lived.

On Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 2:30 p.m., a Celebration of Life service will convene in the sanctuary of New Bethel Baptist Church, where loved ones will honor her enduring legacy.

Following the service, Mrs. Lancaster will be laid to rest in Elmwood Cemetery.
