Tonya Lavette Scott

Serving notice with genuine care, S. Jones F. and C. join with the relatives of Miss Tonya Lavette Scott, as they prepare to celebrate her everlasting legacy. Miss Scott succumbed to the silent chambers of death on September 17, 2022.

Tonya was a dedicated educator in the Halifax County School System.

 The time of reminiscing will take place on Friday, September 23, 2022 between 5pm and 7pm in the chapel of the S. Jones Funerals and Cremations.

A Celebration of Life will be held 1 pm, Saturday, September 24, 2022 in the sanctuary of the First Baptist Church.

Committal Rites will take place at the graveside of the Resthaven Memorial Gardens.

Among her survivors is her son, Travis Scott Hood; her parents: Geraldine and Emanuel Whitaker, and Robie Scott; four brothers, one sister and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and caring friends.
